A BETTER TRAJECTORY FOR RHODE ISLANDERS
Rhode Island has amazing talent, businesses, and natural resources. We can do more to grow jobs in Rhode Island. We must do more for hard-working Rhode Islanders and the middle class. Thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and regulatory relief, our national economy is strong. But I would like to see Rhode Island share in more of that success. As U.S. Senator I will:
– Support our local industries by advocating for funding for apprenticeships and training in advanced manufacturing, creating Regional Centers for Advanced Manufacturing Excellence to leverage skill sets of Rhode Island workers and our industrial legacy.
– Purge burdensome and unnecessary regulations and other measures that free up entrepreneurial talent and enable more opportunities for economic growth.
– Race to the top in the new economy by turning our excellent vocational schools and community colleges into job factories.
– Advocate in Washington DC for our fishing, defense, jewelry, and technology businesses, as well as for other job creators and employers of hard working Rhode Islanders.
