Smithfield, R.I. – Former Rhode Island Supreme Court Justice and Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, Judge Robert Flanders, was endorsed Tuesday by the Smithfield Republican Town Committee.
This marks the tenth Republican town or city committee endorsement Judge Flanders has received, following the endorsements of the Warwick, Newport, East Greenwich, Cumberland, South Kingstown, Glocester, Providence, Burrillville, and Block Island Republican Town and City Committees, ahead of the June 27th Republican nominating convention.
“The committee voted unanimously to endorse Judge Flanders for U.S. Senate. My feeling is that Judge Flanders’ experience, intellect, and integrity are beyond reproach. He will make a great U.S. Senator. It was our privilege to endorse him,” said Jim Archer, Smithfield Republican Town Committee Chairman.
“He will be Rhode Island’s next U.S. Senator. Our message is resonating, momentum is building, and we are ready to deliver a win for Republicans and all Rhode Islanders in November,” said Campaign Manager Richard Kirby.
The Rhode Island Republican Party State Central Committee will convene on June 27th to endorse the party’s statewide candidates.
