South Kingstown, R.I. – Former Rhode Island Supreme Court Justice and Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, Judge Robert Flanders, was endorsed Wednesday evening by the South Kingstown Republican Town Committee.
The endorsement occurs before the June 27th Republican nominating convention and marks the fifth endorsement Judge Flanders has received, following the endorsements of the Cumberland, East Greenwich, Newport, and Warwick Republican Town Committees.
“Bob Flanders has proven himself to be a honorable public servant, serving eight and a half years on the bench of Rhode Island’s highest court, producing over 400 opinions on critical issues important to Rhode Islanders. His successful work as the receiver of Central Falls can be seen today with the reinvigoration of what was once looked at as Rhode Island’s most troubled city,” said Rob Sullivan, Chairman of the South Kingstown Republican Town Committee.
Additional endorsement decisions are slated to be announced. The Rhode Island Republican Party State Central Committee will convene on June 27th to endorse the party’s statewide candidates.FacebookTwitterGoogle +
